Do you remember your answer when someone asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Do you remember how simple it was to ask for what you wanted when you were a child? How easy it was to trust, to love, to be free?

What happened over the years? Did you stop believing in yourself? Did the pain become more real than your dream? Did the pain become more real than you?

Sometimes it feels as if our current situations will last forever. We find it hard to see past our present circumstances and we forget who we were before the circumstances showed up. It is good to reflect on who you were because it allows you to determine if you are growing into the person you are called to be or becoming a person that is unrecognizable in the mirror.

Many of us choose to believe that we are too old to get married, have another child, go back to school, start a new hobby, etc. Many of us also choose to believe that it is too late to have a better relationship with our family, begin a new career, become a better parent, dream again, etc.

It is not too late. You are not too old. Let's stop saying "I wish I had" or "If I had another chance." Let's get to work now. There is someplace, something, or someone waiting on you. Remember who you were before they told you no. Remember who you were before your heart was broken. Remember who you were before the hurt and pain.

Ask God with 'child-like' faith and believe God with 'child-like' belief.

Forever Young: Believing in myself, asking for what I want & going after what God says is mine; no second-guessing & no giving up.

Thoughts of You

The moment we stop growing and challenging ourselves is the exact moment the world loses a chance at becoming a better place.
